Some Selects from the Last Few Weeks

Haven't contributed as I would have like lately as I've been crazy, so here's some highlights from recent rides....

Last Tuesday at Grand Central.
This past Saturday night on the 4 train.
On the V, 3/12/08

Reading is Fundamental

My life is easier when people are taken by a good book/interesting article.

Reading on the Uptown A Train

Pencil on water color paper, 5" x 8" by Cara Lynn Kleid. This is the drawing I was working on when I met Ajani.

Subway Artists Unite!

So on the way home yesterday, I sat next to a fellow subway sketcher.

Actually, I wasn't sure what the protocol was in that situation, I didn't want to draw attention and mess up her drawing, but I did want to draw. Anyway, I ended up drawing too and we exchanged website info.

Her art is pretty cool. Very expressive and raw, I really like her portraits.
So check out her website...be sure to check out her blog too.

Also, I have links to two other subway sketchers Ami, who contributed a drawing to this website and Cully.

Cully Long

I have and will put up more links to subway sketchers as I come across them.

Enjoy!

Orange

Three more subway drawing from the past day or two. I should probably get back to using my brush pen, but I've been in a lot of uncofortable positions on the train lately, and things get messy...

Sugarplum Fairies

Sorry for the delay, had to do some catching up with life so I didn't have many opportunities to scan or get much done in the last week. But here are two of the better sketches that I've done in the last week.

The Living Sea

A young Jacques Cousteau was on my train last night
